I have to say it has been a very good day for the classics. Alabama 2X2 ... Texas and a Antietam .... all excelent coins..
And all the modern gold .. is making me thinking a few more of them would be good to have

#2 1926 Sesquicentennial of America Independence Half Dollar I tried to take a better picture, but the contrast in this picture showed better detail.

The Dolley Madison dollars are really beautiful, she was close to making my list. This coin has survived the years bright, and mark free, it is one of my highest grade non slabbed coins. 1937 Roanoke Island

@Fuzzballs.... Not Santa Maria... Pinta.. LOL.. kidding... My parents stuck me with the inglorious middle name of "Columbus". I swear, Your Honor I had nothing to do with it!

It is interesting to see which coins our different members are choosing for their favorite coins. I can see I would like to get more classic commemorative's. But I have to stay focused on completing my UNC modern dollar set. With the 5 I purchased yesterday, I worked on inventory last night and I still need 18 more to have a complete set of 67. For my #2 I choose my 2001 D UNC American Buffalo mintage 227,131

Nice buffalo GR, I was lucky to get the two coin set back in 2001. With this top ten winding down are you going to start a top ten classic coin?

Cripes ... just as I settled in to reply the phone rings and calls me off to work! A few comments before I change and head out ... PeaceBD stunning coins and exceptional photography continue to impress and inspire. Fuzzy 1926 Sesqui is an important coin ... struck in very low relief ... none of them are truly well struck. Nice coin fuzzy. Never knew that PG was named Columbus ... that 1893 MS half is gorgeous ... I swear I knew you had some lovely classic silver to show off. Gotta enjoy muddler Roanoke Island half ... I posted a full story on this coin earlier ... a great USA classic silver coins and muddler example is very lovely. Geepers ... GR58 is showing another of those Buffalo dollar commemorative ... I truly need one. Great coin and great photo GR58. I now need to go to work ... I'm the 24/7 operations supervisor at a research laboratory ... and we have some problems there. I'll post my #2 and #1 when I can ... hoping you stay tuned for them. David

I have my eye on a proof Buffalo dollar.. if I was not trying to get all the UNC .. that is one of the proofs I would like to have. I see no reason why we should not try a Top 10 Classic coin post. After seeing all these nice commemorative coins, it might be hard for me to pick some classic coins
