I bought this coin (and a few notes I will also be posting) from the person serving my lunch today. I know it is a common date, but I would like your opinions on grade please.

I would give it a nice strong XF with some attractive "wear cameo".... Pretty coin.

I am no expert, and I hope I am wrong ... But the profile of liberty looks a little funny to me (maybe the pic is angled). So I took a pic of a Morgan 1921 (admit it is web search pic but I compared it to many online) and the profiles look very different to me. Look at the following image and see where I put the pointers in. On yours the chin looks to be not rounded enough - too pointy. The real one has more of a "snarl" in the front of the lips. The real one has a shorter mouth line. The nose differs. The eye differs (sorry no pointer). I guess this is possible if there are different VAMs - but I do not know enough about them. Any expert care to chime in?

It is just the pointy chin obverse, which many 1921 Morgan dollars have. Look at 1921's on ebay, you will see many slabbed examples with the same features.

Whew! I was getting ready to for getting caught by a counterfeit. I really didn't need the coin, but it seemed like the server really needed the money. As for the condition, I guessed about AU as well.
The better part of the buy is coming next (I know absolutely nothing about paper money.) The first is a crisp Series 1935 F - Silver Certificate and the other is an 1864 Confederate 10 Dollar - Richmond note... I just have to find where to post them

Nice looking. Not much in the way of dings etc. AU coin. Might make 55. I like it. $30.00 to $35.00 coin.

Thank you all for your votes of confidence in this coin. I am very relieved that I had not been 'taken in' by a counterfeit.
On the other hand, I did buy this coin from the seller (as a favor) with the intention of placing the coin up for auction in the CCF Auction Forum. So, I thought it only proper to let folks know the auction for this coin will end tonight (3/27/2012) at about 2240 EST. Thanks Everyone!
