I'm seriously thinking about calling tomorrow and canceling my order for the 2 dragons.
At this point I would rather give my cash to the mint over these clowns..

These high end privy coins bring 100 bucks minus a blink of the eye and the big mints an APMEX know this all to wel, as Traevin here pointed out an I agree with.....

They may just make one too many an push it too far, an water the whole concept down an push collectors away in time, which would indeed reek of tulips as Fredd may have made reference to once to twice before, via what will they be worth in 10 years, the 64,000 dollar question. could care less, as if I bought some, many of you would own it not long three months down the road, so I am not to concerned about its value in ten years, even though eventually I need to start storing some away instead of selling it all seems wise, as it may come back to bite me on the backside, esp a sudden spike up or SHTF situation....

I would just say in the end to all you collectors of the privy's an endangered Mongolian coins, be very WEARY of their constant value, as if they did turn out to reek of tulips one day, perhaps with the likes of a 1 to 3 day ebay auction, one could get out before the entire shirt is lost so to speak....

Penny4Me, you are not accepting email. I want to talk to you about the possible trading as you have indicated, since I don't have the 1998 yet.
I'm thinking of putting together an order w/ APMEX. The shipping is $20 for transaction btw $250 to $999.

Regarding slab bullion, I am like some of you that only prefer MS70 bullion or RAW bullion over MS69 bullion. Reason: Psychological & the price different btw MS69 and raw bullion is insignificant. Since most of the bullion coins are going into an album I would rather prefer raw coins since it will save me quite some $$ for more coins (compare to MS70 bullion). A few example of MS70 bullion is nice (may be one for each design/country of origin - kinda like those 10 world bullion coin set).

SilentAsian4Hire,
I think I fixed the accepting email, try it now.... I want to make sure I fixed it right.
YES, Let's talk about the possible trading of my 1998 TITANIC privy's in NGC SLAB for the APMEX 2012 PCGS SP69 TITANIC privy's. I would just buy two but APMEX shipping is $12.95, we could sent each other 2 slabs for about $3 via USPS 1st class mail w'tracking #.
APMEX wants $85 for a raw 1998 TITANIC privy!
fyi.. you will not find any Silver Maple Leafs with privy's graded MS70 or SP70 from NGC or PCGS.
BUT NGC & PCGS will grade MS70 on RAW bullion Silver Maple Leafs ...WHAT'S UP WITH THAT!

privy's NEVER get a 70

PS... Since ebay has special on NO Fee But-it-Now, I also listed my two 1998 TITANIC privy's in NGC slabs there.

I personally think Penny that the 2012 is gonna be the coin to have say en years down the road, as the 1998 really has no significant date importants, other then the mint decided to capitalize on the success of the film from 1997....

The price an grades appear to be the same, so sounds like fair for both, but I would prefer the 2012....

These outhouse coins look suspiciously like made-to-order beer cans. You had to order 1000, but you could get them with air or beer.

For those saying that RCM isn't listing them, well, it wouldn't make much sense to grant an exclusive, then keep some of the coins.

The question becomes, once APMEX dumps these, who's supporting the aftermarket? They aren't likely to be in the catalog, so who's the buyer for more than bullion?

I found it on pcgs.com!
The PCGS POP for the new APMEX 2012 PCGS SP69 TITANIC & Dragon privy
http://www.pcgs.com/pop/detail.aspx...441&p=SP&t=3
511640 2012 $5 ML Titanic SP69 = 2,088
511641 2012 $5 ML Dragon SP69 = 1,787
Both APMEX 2012 SML are ALL SP69, No SP70

PCGS POP 1998 $5 Titanic, No SP70
SP66=8
SP67=4
SP68=82
SP69=3

I received the 2012 Canada Maple Leaf Reverse Proof Titantic Privy (Mintage 25k) that I purchased last week. Can someone tell me how they made the front of the coin white? Mrs. Slick thinks that it is colorized like they do on ASE. All I am sure of is that the coin is beautiful.

Also what do they mean by the word Privy?

Thanks
