Reply from this STUPID seller: and why the crap should I believe you? just cause you say it's altered.. I have actually shown some experts and every one that see's it gives me different answers. thats why I'm not asking for thousands & thousands for it. im an elderly person and with my bad eyesight I can't see for myself.. i have been told to be careful of people telling me things like you have, if I knew it was a fake I would say so thankyou SCUM! there isn't a coin dealer in australia at would give this coin more than 5 seconds.

Crazy, so thankful that I have this forum for help, feel sad for the suckers that are dumb enough to bid on an uncertified item.

This was the reply I got from the seller this morning after advising them that it is a fake and should be listed as a replica 1930.
"if I knew for sure don't you think I would be asking for thousands why should I take your word for it? that's why I'm selling it cause everyday I get different advice from people,

sorry wwwww didn't know that you sent that to ebay and also the seller would have to have terrible terrible vision to miss that massive 0 and I dont know which dealers he has been dealing with but not one half decent dealer would say that that coin is even close to genuine unless he has been talking to the dealers in Hong Kong that sold him that coin you know the shifty kind

Quote: Frankly I feel really sorry for the person who wins this Don't have too much sympathy for the bidders on this item. Fake 1930 pennies without a "copy" stamp regularly go for these sort of prices. Even when the seller declares that they are fake. The bidders on this item are only interested in on-selling it as a genuine 1930 penny.

Hmm, the slabbed one. The seller is also selling a 1923 Halfpenny with a dodgy spot next to the 3 in 1923 (where-else would you find a dodgy looking area?) http://www.ebay.com/itm/1923-HALFPE...em3a77cf2740Mind you, it seems that this seller sold something to someone in Germany, who really wasn't happy, I loosely translated their conversation in google translate: It seems the item was: Elegant cuff links in gold coins? Gold? & their conversation was something like this: Buyer: mk loose in envelope, despite broken angekunvers (cufflinks?) shipping offer, no cash back! Seller: With tools packed and shipped insured. Was threatened for no reason. Caution Buyer: LIAR, delivery with open if vers shipping, why not a liability? untrustworthy! The link for that one is: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAP...p=true&rt=ncMind you, you can still find 1930 (Indian Die) altered dates, I was trying to track one down for quite a while, but kept on missing out by big guns at the time. I have a few 1931 Indian dies, so theoretically, they would be the only coin that would make it worthwhile.
