Poll Question
Do you think "Proof ASE/FRN set (Making History Coin & Currency set)" is worth buying?

I had to put no. Because IMO, there is no unique coin to this set. Yes there is a low mintage coin, but not unique. They should have put another matte proof "S" mint nickel with it .. to me that would have been cool Now if I did not have the two coin, 75th set then I might buy this one. Getting a low mintage Proof ASEfor $67.95 plus shipping is a good deal.( you could spend the $5.00 bill) Every set I have bought, that is in this format, I have broken open for the coins. This coin has no place in my collection .. in this format. In the past, these type sets have not gone up in value.

I have no clue on this one....on the surface I would respond "no".... but....it will still be the 2nd lowest regular proof mintage EVER...that's since 1986...2nd lowest
I guess that should figure in somewhere

Originally I was all for it, after taking some time to think it over, why would I pay more for a coin I already own and a funky serial # 5 dollar bill. So I chose to purchase an NGC pf 69 graded SF two coin set for $50.00 over mint issue price. So to make a short story long...NO

The BEP has done several of these coin and currency sets and as far as I know once they sell out you never hear of them again. No one looking for them, no reports of aftermarket sales etc. I think they become pretty much a dead item.

I certainly disagree, the past C&C sets, the 1994 and the 1997 both are still doing very well where the 5 cent matte coin is about 175.00 alone. YES I did pick up the set, Yes the set has one of the Lowest Proof Coins mintage wise to date........... How could you go wrong. JMO.
