Please grade and advise on the green. some say not to acetone soak copper, and honestly I am not even sure that it is anything that would soak off ? many thanks again.

Try Verdi-Care for taking off the green gunk. Looks like a nice EF-45 coin.

Beautiful Indian. I'll go with AU50. If you haven't used Verdi-Care before, don't experiment on this coin.

AU piece, really nice high-end key date and the verdigras does not detract much. If you go for Verdi-care or Verdi-gone, you should experiment on low grade common pieces first before attempting anything on this one.

AU-50 and Verdi care used following the direction will add much to this coins eye appeal

AU-50. Very normal appearance for a 100 year old brown copper I don't see anything that would seriously detract from its value

If nothing is done to this coin, what is the risk?
If there is a patch of green on it I would not notice as I am color blind.
To me, it looks very nice as it is.
And if it were mine I would not do anything to it.
Explain why I would be wrong, please.

John R, you should be quite happy with it, no?

Matt, I am 'shade' color blind myself, so I understand your situation I little. The green areas are minimal (to me) but all along the crevasses.

and I am very pleased with the grade conditions being reported. I had been told xf by a dealer (quickly and not for purchasing reasons) so to see all the AU's here is great. I will consider sending to a TPG for conservation.

Verm~ dropbox was having intermittent issues yesterday, but I have not seen any today.

thanks again for the grading opinions, I have a few more coins, I will e asking about soon.

With all due respect....

Don't touch this coin, and don't make the key date of a series your first attempt to use a conservation product.

AU50

That is a fantastic looking coin!

I see a couple very small spots of verdigris. Verdi-Care would stop them from getting any worse, but I would not mess with it if you've never used Verdi-Care. It's not hard to use and I think this coin would benefit from it, but this is not the coin to practice on.

I love the look of this one! 100% original!
