Baxter1988 New Member United States 3 Posts	Posted 08/28/2012 08:22 am Trying to identify this item. I have gutted a rental home of mine and inside of an original wall I found this. The house is about 120 years old if that gives any clues. I believe it to be fools gold, but as I am not too experienced in identifying rocks or gold I thought I would ask some experts. allranger Pillar of the Community United States 1391 Posts	Posted 09/01/2012 10:27 pm Definitely pyrite. Probably could have been a kid that hid it. My brother and I used to get nuggets of pyrite like for a few cents at swap meets or the local kids museum. We got it because it looked like gold and would play pirates and bury treasure with it.
