to take the reverse picture, it looks like you turned the 2x2 side-to-side. If that is correct, I would say probably 40-45% rotated
edit - correct my math

Smaller rotations (less than 10 degrees) are be common, but ones as large as yours are not. Congrats on a nice find! Was it a circulation score or a purchase?

Ya I actually found this one. I went on coins and canada and I couldn't find anything about a rotated die for this year. Are they valuable?

If it was rotated say 10 degrees, it might be worth a dollar or two. A 1967 cent rotated an almost perfect 90 degrees recently sold for, I think, $165 or so. This is a big rotation but not as desirable as 90 degrees. Also, it isn't too pretty. Depending on the day, I would say you would get $25 to $75 on ebay. |

I remember the coin your talking about. I think it might be more then 40 I'm thinking more like 50 I need wert to use his software and figure this out for me if he has time. Also it looks much better out of the 2x2 holder ill post a better pictures tonight.

Thanks for your time wert. ;) I was pretty close guessing 60 jg86 was closer  . lol Here are some better pics   I think it would grade at least MS-60 red and brown off to CCCS it goes. lol Edited by jkol2369

I love die rotation errors. Nice coin but I doubt it would get MS due to the number of scratches on the obverse.

The neatest way I've ever seen for die-rotation presentations is the take a photo with a mirror behind it (in a holder or not) .. then you can see both the Obv & Rev in the same shot at the same time in the same acclimation.

 The above-mentioned 1967 was shot that way and it made for excellent presentation of the rotation. |

wert - I calculated 54 for the reverse, but the obverse is 2 degrees out isn't it? That's how I got 52.
