OK - I give up - where do I find a key for the Variety Vista acronyms?

Help-With-Variety-Vista-Acronyms
1. In each box they have a "Designation," followed by some secret code. Can someone please help me understand this cryptic message and tell me where I can find what it is referencing (I understand the FS... designation from Cherry Pickers Guide)?

2. How do I interpret the meaning of "population: 1?"

3. I understand the codes under the 1972 date - and the ones immediately to the left of the boxes, are reference codes to different classification systems. Where can I reference/find these systems so I can understand/read/use them?

OK - individual listings:

4. The first listing is 1972 SDO-001:
a. What words do "SDO" in SDO-001" represent? Slight Double Obverse?
b. What words do UVC in UVC-196 stand for?
c. What words do DMR in DMR-001 stand for?
d. in the box, under markers, I am guessing ODV-003 is "Obverse Die Variety 003" - where do I see a list of these dies?
e. RDV - similar question but I am assuming REV Die Variety?

5. Second listing is DDO-001
a. Why in the "Markers" line does it say, "Master Die/Master Die?"
b. What are EDS, MDS, and LDS (Early, Mid, and Late Dies State?)
c. How do I tell the difference between an EDS, MDS, LDS?

6. Third listing is 1972 MDR-001:
a. What is MDR?
b. Under "Description" it lists positions of stars as "CW (Clockwise I assume) from K-3 to K-7." Umm... positions on a clock face? But why the K?

Any help greatly appreciated. I spent time online trying to find these things and came up with nada!.

Well I am embarrassed! I spent a lot of time on that site looking for something like this.

Can I blame it on my meds?

Or maybe I should start a new poll asking whether CCF family members believe it was:
A. My meds
B. Plain old fashioned... duh, I done never saw dat dere!

Thanks coop - much obliged!
