All three look in the EF range but are all horribly dipped. Personally I wouldnt buy any of them.

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Are you sure they've been dipped? How can you tell? I've read a few websites about cleaning but it's hard to picture what they're talking about without examples.

That 1934 coin looks like it has been "Peter Walliced"

Quote: Are you sure they've been dipped? The 1934 is quite obvious, its way too reflective, unnatural looking. It didn't get that way without intervention which would have involved dipping (immersing) the coin in some kind of silver cleaning solution. Quote: How can you tell? The second two are less obvious to me (I'm relatively new to this as well) but I don't doubt the guys are correct, they have heaps of experience. Here is a side by side comparison of the coin Walter referred to and the one in the OP:

Hey mattyd1 to CCF Anyway they certainly do look dipped in paricular the first as it is uniformly shiny in the picture while an uncleaned one would display cartwheeling lustre from it's striking. Anyway you wouldn't happen to have been offered these coins by a dealer? prehaps one from ANDA? p.s. could you please name the person who offered these to you? I have a feeling I can guess who from the pictures but I would like to make sure.

Peter Wallace the rugby player? What's he got to do with these?
I haven't paid for them yet thankfully. Soooo glad I asked here first. The 1934 is from AFS Coins, the 1911 and 1923 are from Klaus Ford Numismatics. I asked them both if the coins were cleaned and neither admitted to it. Does ANDA have a facility to report these things?

Quote: Peter Wallace the rugby player? What's he got to do with these? Peter Wallace is a purveyor of dodgy coins on ebay, check this thread

Exactly as I thought matty unfortunately there is no way to report it through ANDA as I believe Klaus Ford is a founding member and would probably have a very large say in any reports against any dealer in the organisation.
p.s. not the rugby player from the Brisbane Broncos this one is more dodgy [00!]

That is utterly disgusting from Klaus. A blatant lie.

Really really really dishonest and further evidence to the claim that ANDA membership means NOTHING
