I've seen a lot of coins like the 1934 on E-Bay. Whoever is selling them is selling in lots all due to finish at the same time, I hadn't really taken any notice, except they all have that mirror finish to them. Must keep an eye out for them.

Quote: Really really really dishonest and further evidence to the claim that ANDA membership means NOTHING My already shakey confidence in ANDA is pretty much completely shattered. It seems to me there might be a lot of these cleaned coins 'churning' in the marketplace, most of the natural coins are in the safe hands of collectors and not for sale. The coins in the OP are more than likely to be sold eventually. Chances are that the hapless purchaser will come to realise their mistake and offload them so they can be sold again.

ebay is good training for Coin collecting,it's a Jungle and you have to have your guard up at all times, its no different when dealing with a Coin/Stamp dealer, you have to be wary and take anything said with a bag of salt no matter what organisations they belong to.My 2c.

Just something I picked up in the email for the first coin. The seller indicates the 'Vendor Assures Him' the coin is an a Natural State ? Is this a loophole ?

Thats a load of crap really. Even if the vendor thinks its original the dealer knows it isn't so should represent it as such.

When I read that blurb, I automatically assumed the dealer was selling on commission.

I thought it was just a way he could avoid making a direct guarantee while giving me a false sense of security.

Sounds like a used car salesman. Pity, I thought he was one of the better ones.

I've seen that guy around, still waiting for him to sell his "junk pennies"", I reckon they'd be an upgrade on my collection!
