NAXION is conducting a brief survey on behalf of the United States Mint, Department of the Treasury, of customers who recently purchased items directly from the U.S. Mint. The survey is designed to identify how the U.S. Mint can improve the products and packaging offered. Just got the email, will take it. I am sure it will be helpful

How about the people that don't place orders that would want to, but don't yet think the products offered are decent enough? They use Whitman for their printing materials and stuff right? They just get a US Mint label/graphic somewhere on it. There is so many avenues they could make those type things that are better and not so stale. Like all those bags of circulated Ike dollars, they could have paired them up with the Ike golden Dollar for a bit of education, the Kennedy gold dollar could be with a Kennedy half.... "a silver presidential medal" Sounds like something to just have melted down to me. Medals aren't coins. If the Mint makes it, it should have a face value.

The surveys are pointless and self-serving, IMO. They only want to hear from customers that think the Mint is doing a very good or excellent job. The glitches with the Ike C&C, gold Kennedy half and 25th Anniversary ASE set are weird one-off anomalies to their way of thinking and in no way reflect poorly on the Mint even through there are complaints on many secondary blogs and calls to the call center in Dallas. Usually the surveys are just to test market the interest in a new coin type or repackaging scheme such as the LESPS.

I took it and let them know I was not happy with the coins in the Ike sets I got and about the web-site dropping credit card number from order. It might not do a thing but if you say nothing they will do nothing!

I believe they will take the collected information and make improvements. If they merely wanted to feel like they are doing a good job, they would just point to the record sell-out times and high-five the person who came up with the RP idea.

I didn't receive the survey, but if you do please point out that they need to greatly reduce the amount of dust that's getting packaged inside along with the coins and have a final visual inspection. For what we're paying, there is no excuse for these problems. The foreign mints are putting them to shame.

Dunno about that - received a £20 coin from The Royal Mint that had a big honkin' scratch on the obverse. Queen Liz looked like she'd been in a knife fight.

I've received 15 coins so far from The Royal Mint. So far all have been perfect. I'm not at all disputing what you received. I'm just pointing out that my experience has been very positive. One thing that I really like is that their "proofs" and "brilliant uncirculated" coins have a QC sticker with a number on it inside the packaging. It's a final inspection sticker. If you have a problem with the coin and return it to them, then they know exactly who failed at their job. Compare that to the US Mint where I'm pretty sure there is no final inspection.

Split the card at the bottom to get the capsule out, checking if it really was the coin that was scratched, no stickers I can see. I also got the 2015 £5 BU Churchill comm., in the flat pak with docs, nothing there either.
