If you're vision isn't much chop, like mine, the counterfeits are good enough to fool you, but when closely scrutinised with a loupe, they're really poor imitations. People with good vision should be able to pick them out straight away.

I'll have to give myself a refresher course on taking & posting photos, so I can show them here.

In the last week, I've scored 1 x Incuse & 1 x Scout Dollar through the till at my son's shop. There are often NZ coins, occasionally some Fiji and yesterday a US Quarter.

I seem to average between 10-15 coins per week that are confiscated on sight.

Received a 1996 Henry Parkes $1 coin in change today, pretty banged up but I haven't seen any for quite a while.
Also, nancyc, I searched and found an old topic explaining the differences of the 2003 counterfeit $2 coin and now understand how to pick them. Thanks to Brissyboy and the other contributors to the topic for their input.

Found my first 2008 5¢ today, has the really tiny SD on the reverse.

Pulled a 1993 10 cents today. Didn't have one before and it's in a nice XF condition. Can't believe how tough the 10 cent collection can be!

Well done on finding an Incuse. They're pretty difficult to find.

Congratulations Mulatto and my2cents! Oddly enough, I pulled a 2001 CoF 50c commemorating Norfolk Islands. I thought I'll never see them again. Nancyc, I'm still looking for the following 10c:

1969, 1970, 1971, 1978, 1979, 1985, 1994, 1997.

I find it a bit odd that I don't get much 10 cents back from circulation!

Gxseries, I received a '70 in change this morning you are more than welcome to if you like. Send me your address and it is yours.

Edit to add I also have a '69, '78 and 2 '79s sitting in my change jar you are welcome too as well. The '69 isn't great and one of the '79s has a scratch on it, but Nancy can probably help you out with better coins.

I'v got one each of 69, 70, 71, 78, 79, 94, & 97 put aside to send. Condition is average for circulation. The 94 & 97 are better than the others though.

I'll be sending them in the next few days.

Maybe if latman sends his spares as well, you can choose the best & spend the rest.

I've got a couple other coins to send as well. Just a little extra something.

Received another Scouts $1 in change and also a remembrance 20 cent piece. Had a look through a friends change jar and found two Millennium 50c cent pieces and what seems to be a Philipino 1 piso coin, the same size as an Australian 10 cent piece.

Finds from circulation for the last week are:
3 X Apec $1 coins
1 X Landcare $1 coin
1 X Henry Parkes $1 coin
3 X Kingsford Smith $1 coins
1 X Scouts $1 coin
1 X Year of the family 50c coin
1 X Charles & Diana 50c coin
1 X 1968 5c coin (trying to get a complete circulated year set)
Some are a little beat up but the scouts and apecs are in really good condition and are keepers.
