1899 Indian Head - Blob Of Metal At Tip Of Feather

Paul Bulgerin Pillar of the Community United States 3098 Posts	Posted 02/10/2016 11:52 pm I have this 1899 Indian Head cent that has a small blob of metal at the tip of the second feather from the bottom of the headdress. What is the cause of this? Was it an issue with the die? I don't recall seeing something like this before on an Indian Head. Thanks in advance to any insights. Mike1487 Pillar of the Community United States 709 Posts	Posted 02/11/2016 02:42 am This die chip is recognized as one of several possible Snow varieties. You should check for a repunched date as that will determine the exact Snow number. Report this Post to the Staff
