Found in a bag of wheat cents by my father.

1936 DDO die# 2-O-V (R in LIBERTY is regular R over broken leg R - marker for this die)

Looks like normal wear to me, were devices are flattened while in circulation. Can we see a picture of the full coin face?

The split at the top end of the 9 (or in the case of your upside down photos, the bottom ) it a tell-tale sign.

I was skeptical about this one being anything outside of normal wear. BUT......the left side of the "R" in "liberty" seems to be a dead on match to the thread Sudz mentioned.
