MK It is really impressive the progress you are making on this set.
I did not know you had so many different world crowns.
That must be a really good LCS you have.
---------------------------
I have some of the same coins you have, and watch for others to come into my LCS.
My problem is getting them organized. Some of them I have in a album Similar to yours. Some are in a dealers stock book .. Some in Dansco type books .. And some in my treasure box.
Seeing yours makes be think someday I will need to put one of each type together ... if possible.
-------------------
Maybe you should consider doing a days of world coins thread.
Maybe 26 days Day one .. countries starting with "A" .. day 2 with "B"
Or maybe there would be another idea .....
Just a suggestion

Thanks! Yeah the LCS has had some awesome stuff pop in and I happened to be there at the right time (once a week :P). Most of the ones not from the LCS is from buying/reselling auctions stuff. Probably my favorite is the older Panama Balboa. It is Gem BU and a great design. And GR58, the days suggestion is a good idea for my next album (volume 2) if I can ever complete the first! ;)

If you need more ideas, there are plenty in the post a crown thread.

The great thing about these projects is that you can set your own rules-and change them if you want.

^ Exactly Oriole. I have done that several times already too :) Now I am going to separate the bullion (eventually once I need the holes they reside in) and sell of some coins that would duplicate the country since I am going to have one of each country. Kind of sad since for instance I like the British Trade dollar but if I am going to have a "crown" British coin it has to be the actual crown. Oh well selling those will help me purchase a few or help me save towards a big one (Hawaii, Lichtenstein, etc.) Thanks for the comments!

Those are really cool Bacchus! I may have to figure out how to show them online sometime. And yeah for volume 2 eventually I will have to take a look again at the Post a Crown thread or expand my search on numista to include older coins since I am not sure I can get all those holes filled from different countries in those sizes (36-41mm). Volume 1 is all listed now I just need to wait and search. The first volume will cost approx. the same as a completed US Type Album 7070 without the gold page so it will take some time but I am in no hurry :)

Woah that cabinet is pretty sweet! And looks like it is a little more discreet than Albums too. And you quite a number of crowns I will be looking to add to my collection too! Very nice and thanks for the pics!

Cabinets are a wonderful, classic touch, but I am terrified of them sitting loose. I can see myself taking out a drawer and dropping the whole thing.

Thanks - I like "playing" with my coins and I can't really do that as easily with albums so this is my storage method of choice. Oriloe, you'd be fine with them - I'd be more worried about a coin falling out of a "push in" type album - horses for courses :)

Quote: I do like that you have an Eisenhower dollar in there. There's little rhyme or reason to the order :) - they all have tickets/roundels under them to identify them. There's even a Churchill crown in there too - which I should really take out as it's not silver.

Well, as long as you have a method that works.
