Hi all, wanted to show the progress of my world silver crown sized collection! I have a custom-lettering Dansco album on its way eventually and have only found a few of the pages I need from local LCSs (the rest looks like I will have to order online) and so have the rest of my coins waiting for a page to go in as well! The criteria for my album is 36-41mm, at least 50% silver, and I have to somewhat like the design, especially since there will only be a limited number of holes to fill. A list of the coins I am wanting in the completed album are below:

- Austria Philharmonic 1 oz
- Canada dollars (British Columbia, Quebec, regular dollar)
- Guatemala Peso (1895)
- Israel 500 Prutah
- Morocco 500 Francs (1956)
- Bolivia 8 Soles (1859-1863)
- Austria Hapsburg 5 Corona (1900-1907)
- Germany 5 Reichsmark (1927-1933)
- Iran 5000 Dinar (1925-1927)
- Yugoslavia 50 Dinara (1932)
- Brazil 2000 Reis (1886-1889)
- El Salvador Peso (1892-1914)
- Guatemala Peso (1894-1897)
- Italian states Sardinia 5 Lire (1821-1861)
- Latvia 5 Lati (1929-1932)
- Italy 5 Lire Vittorio (1914)
- Chile Peso (1867-1891)
- France 5 Francs (1853-1870)
- German States 5 Marks
- Peru Sol
- Belize 10 Dollars 1995
- US Morgan/Peace Dollars
- German States Hamburg 5 marks
- Vietnam 100 Dong 1988
- China Dragon dollar (1901-1908)
- Dominican Republic Peso (1939-1952)
- Hawaii Dollar (1883)
- Armenia Noah's Ark
- Canada Silver Maple Leaf
- Central American Republic 8 Reales
- Cuba Peso
- Japan Yen
- Mexico 8 Reales
- Mexico 25 Pesos (1968)
- Panama Balboa (1931-1947)
- Philippines Peso (1903)
- Bahamas 2 Dollars
- South Africa 5 Shillings
- China Fat Man Dollar
- British Trade dollar
- Somalia Elephant 1oz
- Panama Balboa (1966-1974)
- 1oz Britannia
- 1oz Kookaburra
- 1oz Kangaroo
- 1oz Mexico Libertad
- 1oz Wedge Tailed Eagle (and Proof)
- 1oz Koala (2007)
- 1oz Fiji Turtle
- 1oz ASE (bullion, proof, burnished, EU, Reverse Proof)
- Mexico 5 Pesos (1947-1948)
- France 50 Francs (1973)

Quite a few of these I have gotten for melt at my LCS (with cleanings, some damage) and most that I have I was able to get in the $20-30 range. I know a few of these are actually going to cost quite a bit but those will come eventually. There may be changes to the list just depends on what I can find but that is it for now... will update again once my custom album comes! Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Look at the Hungarian 5 Pengo crowns from the 1930's, as well.

Don't be afraid to raise your purchase price on some of these, there are some quite scarce crowns available for $50-$75.

Do pick up a King George VI New Zealand and Australian Crown, they are lovely coins.

The 1928 Cyprus Crown is a real beauty, but you'll pay for it.

That is a really nice coin, Cara! And yeah I am willing to pay more for some crowns I just was mentioning the ones I have already have I mostly got for that price range. A few of these (Hawaii dollar and I think the Italian states come to mind) are going to be somewhat pricey. These will probably come later on in the collection, but definitely are on my list! Thanks for the suggestions, too! For right now, it mostly comes to what I can find for spot at my LCS and will eventually get to actually looking for them to buy. The important thing for now is getting all the ones I have a home!

Sure brings back lots of good memories when I see a nice crown collection like yours. Back in 1964 when the US coin market bubble burst the first time I started collecting world coins. Collecting world "crowns" was the most popular collecting theme then and all collectors had as a reference was the Yeoman Brown book. Enjoy.

After almost 3 months of waiting... the custom world crown Dansco album has arrived! Sorry for the bad pics but they were on the go. Anyways glad to finally have a home for these coins! And after talking to my wife it appears it would make more sense if this collection was one coin from a different country and no duplicates. So... I am going to separate out the bullion from the circulating crown coins eventually, and keep them in the album until I need the space. In the future I will probably get another custom album just for the bullion coins. Also, I won't be getting rid of any duplicate countries I figure because I did go ahead and put "Volume 1" so there is someday in the future bound to be a "Volume 2" or more for those duplicates. Also had to change up my list for this album due to no duplicates so I will post that next. Thanks for looking!

Very nice! I will have to expand my search to coins older than 1800! I generally (just based off what few I have seen) didn't like the really older coin designs but some of those Talers are pretty cool looking! Price is also a factor and I guess I figured the older = more expensive. Thanks for the list Beem!
