Post title tells it all. Something here makes me curious; wondered if you might feel the same way.

Good calls. It's 64BN. The coin actually looks very nice in the hand, and I have some 65's that are not any cleaner--that was my curiosity. Thanks for the comments. I'd say with this coin the BN part is beyond dispute! But it has a nice purple iridescence in the right light. A rare case of an online purchase coin turning out to be nicer than expected.

Centsei, sometimes I feel the same way about the "cleanness" of the coin, or lack of any marks. But I think to get 65 and above, the luster is the most important thing, something I have a hard time learning (and not sure I agree with). I see 65s and 66s with marks, sometimes many, and wonder how they got the grade. But it is because they have exceptional luster.

Very nice coin, I bet it has more color than the pictures show.

Thanks for the additional comments. Interesting remark that luster becomes increasingly important at 65. Makes sense, though, from my layperson's observations, even though I love clean fields. And yes, BT, the coin has very nice color. Of course, I'm willing to stand in a sunshine-lit window with a loupe to see it, so I don't know how one evaluates that! It's the reason copper coins are my favorite--so many fascinating varieties of color.
