Nice one Snooba! This coin looks significantly nicer than the ANACS MS-62 coin in my collection. The strike is strong for the date as well, with good head definition on Miss Liberty and some decent thumb separation on her left hand. Luster appears very strong and I don't see any rub on the high points. MS-64?

I see some small hairlines that may keep it at MS63, otherwise, very nice strike !

There may be a few lines in the fields that keeps it below MS65. Otherwise, given the clearness of the left hand and the nice head of liberty, I think it would be MS65. MS64 sounds about right.
Enjoy it.

Sweet. Nice definition on the obverse.
Is there doubling on the 'E Pluribus Unum' or is that just some camera shake?

Wow Kathryn, that's a beauty. Grading is certainly not my strong point, but I really don't see what would keep this from a shot at a 65. I think it's an easy 64 to be honest. Beautiful fields, and a very clean coin in general. I don't have a price guide with me, but I think this one is a keeper for sure.....

Wow. I think you got a really good deal. I just wandered over to Heritage to take a peek at other halves in MS grades. Um, I fail to see a MS64 coin over there that compares to this one. I know you Aussies don't slab coins, but if this is in fact MS, I think it would go pretty high. If it makes 65, it's over a $500 coin easy....well done.

Looks 64, but of course it's a no brainer 58 if it does show rub and the fields show signs of circulation.

AU-58 is always possible if you can find significant friction or loss of luster on the high points. Tilt the coin slowly under a nice bright halogen or incandescent light and inspect Liberty's breastplate and the eagle's breast feathers and left thigh. If the luster is uniform over these critical high points, with no grey or hazy color change, then I think it will make the Mint State cut. Once it's over that hump, it should make it all the way to 64!
This is a terrific coin for AU-58 money. Congratulations!
