Question #1 - I have noticed that particular and consistent to the 1972 LMC they all have a wide flat thick rim, sometimes with "rails". Why? Why just this year? Question #2 - Any idea how many times a coin in general circulation is estimated to be handled? On average twice a week, 104 times a year for 45 years (1972) = 4,680 times or more the coin was handled? Thanks. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 01/06/2018 3:46 pm Slight mad Coin. The die may have not been centered correctly or the die was tilted a bit creating a fin on the edge of the coin. The fin flattened and left a different look to the rim area. No premium for this, unless the rim is not flattened. Report this Post to the Staff
