I don't see any red/blue fibers in this one either; maybe just the paper for that particular run.

I got out a 1995 $5 8-subject sheet, used a lot of light, and got as close as possible with my iPad. Under normal lighting, without magnification, it's hard to see the red and blue threads....but they're there.

Right. Unlike on the old large notes, the threads on small notes are typically hard to see at all.

No comment on the fibers, but this thread makes me miss the old bills. Might need to pull out the ones I've set aside over the years for nostalgia .. haven't gotten one in change in at least 3-4 years
