In Vancouver, as of Nov.10, I am not aware of any banks getting rolls of these coins. However, one Save-On Foods store did get rolls of the coins, almost 3 weeks ago. NO one noticed whether there were any coloured coins. The ones that I was able to see did not show any colourized. These coins were not special ordered, they came as part of the regular coin shipment from their supplier.

That explains why I usually see new circulation releases at Walmart and Tim Hortons first. Hard to get the coloured Toonies in circulation, even non collectors snap them up and hang on to them. Important date in Canadian and world history.

Hmm, I got the same answer at a different RCM coin exchange. They only had a box on coloured twoonies. Very nice coin and very nice design - we need more circulation coins like this one!

In Vancouver, I have been unsuccessful at banks but I did run into a bunch of non-coloured twoonies at a local store. They just arrived in their regular cash delivery.

Even more not going to hit the general public. . I feel sorry for the "man on the street", which the coin should be meant for. Should have minted 1 for every Canadian to be able to celebrate, as a nation, what the coin represents. Circulation finds are looking slim here. .

Yesterday I bought 8 rolls of $2 coins from my neighbourhood bank. The rolls were hand rolled in paper wrappers, not machine rolled, nor mint packaging. I found two of the non coloured Armistice coins. They were in pretty decent condition. I put the best one in my album. I might get lucky and find a mint roll but for my $2 collection I am not that fussy. It is a nice looking coin. Hoping to soon find the coloured version.

Hi Punman. If you are in Calgary, the Royal Canadian Mint has a pop up shop coin exchange on the 2nd floor of the Westin Hotel November 17 from 9-5 November 18 9-12 with the colored Armistice coin. Limit of 2 coins per person is what they have advertised. 320 4 Avenue SW

Thanks for the heads up on that. Might do if I am over that way but if I have to pay for parking downtown, it might be cheaper to just buy from a coin store.

Would anyone travel to an exchange location for 2 to 4 coins ?
