Stunning job carwash!! I wish gold was within my budget. I thought about it once, cried about it for a long time, then forget about it!

Thanks USSID18.
I did not think I was going to finish the gold page either until my coin store told me about lay-a-way. 1 year to pay it off. That worked out real good for me.

Thanks jbuck
Next year will be a few upgrades. The Seated coins and the Barber's need some help.

We should create a "What Are Your Numismatic Goals For 2020?"

Revisting my goals, I'm pretty happy where I'm at. My original goals was to complete the small cents. That was done early in the year, then I added 3 more, complete the Mercury dimes, 20th century type set and a new goal which was the Peace dollars. All those have been done. I also organized all my coins and sold off/traded a lot of what I decided I didn't collect or needed. Using that money to complete the sets I really wanted to complete.

2020 looks like small goals, complete the walking liberties and bison nickels.

My first goal for 2020 is to get a 2020-dated coin for my OFEY (One For Each Year) subcollection.

This is my goal for 2019 - I want to get a 2020-dated coin quickly enough to post it in the Sixth Edition of How Far Back Can We Go (currently due in the first few days of January).

[If the dates turn out exactly right, or if someone finds a coin from 1460 for the Fourth Edition before it closes, it's possible that I might still have enough time to post the 2020-dated coin if I buy it on my expected birthday shopping trip on January 4th. I would personally prefer to already have it by New Year, however.]

My first goal for 2020 (with some possible 2019 progress) is to fill up some other OFEY holes; currently missing 11 years up to 1800, and 18 more between 1800 and 1750 (past 1750 I don't have far more than I have).

I suspect there's a good chance that the 5th edition will stall out sometime prior to 1460. In fact, it's unclear whether or not the 6th edition can even start before the end of 2020. (The 5th edition was dealt a major blow when @louie left.)

In 2020-2021 I'm hoping to get some more pre-1498 AD-dated coins so I can better participate in the 6th edition (if there is one).

...Well, I agree about the major blow, but it's not quite as bad as it sounds.

Here's what it comes out to in the 1487-61 range...

Covered by @Spence: everything from 1485 to 1476 (1480 was missing in the 4th edition, but was acquired later), 1474, 1472-67, 1464
Covered by @pepactonius (and not by Spence): 1487, 1473 (if it arrives in time)
Covered by @tdziemia: 1475 (supposed to be covered by Spence as well, but I can't find the date on his coin)
Covered by @EddieDiz: 1470-65, 1463-61
Not known to be covered by any of the four regulars above, but attested elsewhere on CCF: 1486

TL/DR: if it does not stall on Sunday with 1486, if the 1473 arrives in time, and if none of the regulars forget their day, there are no further stalling opportunities before the catch-up.

I forgot to mention this, but one of my own goals for 2020 is to get some dated Islamic coins from the 15th century (and some more from the 14th century, just in case), for the same reason.

I thought that I already had a few 15th century dated Islamic coins, but, alas, either I have already forgotten what they were, or I have dreamed them up in the first place. (Possibly both.)
At the moment, my next possible entry after 1511 (which I have already posted in the 4th and 5th editions) appears to be 1334 (a date that we probably won't get to anytime soon).

I hoped I had it with 1487, but, alas, the date turned out to be off flan. (Still planning to post the coin tomorrow.)

Really? I didn't realize that @j1m--who has that one? That is great news.

@Zohar444 had one in the 4th edition, but they hadn't been seen in a while.

@Gallienus posted that they had one more recently, and last visited as recently as this Wednesday; it might be worth contacting them (I posted about it in the denomination run thread, but I'm not sure if that worked).

The important part is that neither of them is @louie (who did not actually show up in the 4th edition until much later).

[EDIT: Wednesday, not February how did I miss that?]
