Sap Moderator Australia 16899 Posts	Posted 02/19/2019 9:27 pm It is in German, but it nevertheless was made by the Franklin Mint - you can see their distinctive "broken F" or "FM monogram" mintmark, below the line of German text. So presumably it was made in America for sale to the German-language market in Europe. As jbuck translated, it commemorates the "invention of the mechanical reaper" in 1831 by Cyrus Hall McCormick; you can read about it on his Wikipedia page. The company which McCormick founded was eventually merged into International Harvester, which issued a medal here in Australia in 1931 for the centenary of the same event.
