Looks severely overdipped in all of the photos posted here, I'm very surprised it has full cartwheel luster

Not trying to bash you, just saying I've noticed GSC sell a good many Morgan's that people have posted on here that look similar to that one. What's "good" to you? What grade are you hoping for?

I'm hoping for a good lesson LOL, to me using that PCGS photo grading (please help me out on that one, is it accurate to you guys?) Coin in hand, I was thinking 61 or 62.
When you hold it in hand it looks proof like, and rocking it back and forth on both sides you can see the cart wheel, well.
So I just don't know, this is a first for me, so it's not about the money.

Actually your coin looks nicer than 61 for sure, if you're going by hits alone. That's not what everyone is talking about though. And AU would simply be a question of whether or not wear is present. To clarify, I've seen some AU-58 coins that look way way nicer than MS-62 graded examples.

Well I guess the suspense is going to last, they said they received it 3 days ago but don't show it as an order yet.

He better be ready to take it back. Seems he can't understand the difference between DMPL and over polished/dipped

Well.....Um, lesson learned LOL, but it did straight grade. Now I have an idea what one looks like outside the slab and in hand vs what they will probably be grading it. School is in recess! :)

Hey, at least you learned something! Not a total loss but pretty close!

I was almost 100% sure it was going to come back with a straight grade because of the cart wheel, just hoped it was going to be a tiny bit higher,
Somebody called it on the button, with the slight wear on the cotton balls.
According to there definition of AU 58, it almost has full luster.
Most said no luster on it, and I think that adds to the argument that it is VERY difficult to grade by pictures.
I really did learn a lot going back over all the comments, and thank all for the input, most appreciated ,

Well I mentioned I was very surprised when you said it had any amount of luster, because from all indications in the pictures posted the coin had none. Just goes to show how hard luster can be to capture depending on the lighting. Will you return the coin to the dealer for a refund since it didn't get DMPL?

Very surprised it straight graded from the pictures to say the least. Although it looked to be a borderline coin, so 58 doesn't surprise me.

No I'll keep it, may offer it as a freebie on an auction, but I want to see it in a PCGS slab first, lol
