I've been going through my 20 years of saved change, and I came across this Ohio quarter. It may be something common or easily explained, but I'm new at this and thought I should get some input. Second, this quarter was stacked between two others (perhaps a quarter on one side and a nickel on the other) and then this stack was exposed to environmental or chemical conditions that caused the surface to become stained. Best guess? The coins were in someone's cup holder in their car and soda got spilled on them. In any case, this coin is only worth face value.
