Any information on how many will be released into circulation? Thanks for the info, I will certainly be on the lookout for this one.

I have a complete type set of issued into circulation coins, including all commemoratives, since the introduction of decimal currency in 1966, all taken from pocket change at face value.
The project took me about 3 years to complete.

No, only that the frosted uncirculated version has a mintage of 20,000. https://eshop.ramint.gov.au/Interna...s/10151.aspx

You might be interested in keeping an eye out for the $2 coloured coin (One Hundred Years of Repatriation) that was also released this week.

If I get lucky with the swap and can get loads (going to try more that 500 dollars hahaha) of coins after work at the coin swap if they decide to close late :P. I think I will release some into the wild and see who ends up with some of them. :D remember they are still suppose to be worth face value :D

Missing out :( well guess ill have to wait for the next swap then.

I got some of both at the swap.
Last year's swap seemed busier but I guess it was a quieter location this time.

Any idea why the 2019 Repatriation $2 is so hard to find?

I'm a hard-core noodler but I've only ever found one!

MachinMachinMan, I have no idea. It could be a regional thing. Last year I found dozens of those coins. Mainly in CBA coin rolls in Sydney. It is the green dove I find most elusive (besides the red poppy). I have found more purple coronations and red Anzac Cove coins than green doves. Just the luck of the draw I suppose.

i say its cause they were released in bags and rolls (mainly rolls) and so lot or maybe a good number where taken before they hit circulation much like the 75TH anniversary of peace 2 dollar coins and what I suspect indigenous hand 2 dollar will also be taken out fast.
