Hi CCF: I have been seeing a bunch of prattle on the internet regarding 1982 pennies and their variations. I bought this (see pic) in probably 1984 or so. Does anyone think any are worth anything beyond face value? Thanks.

Well they are BU. I remember paying 25 cents a piece for them back in the day. Probably worth more as a set for a new collector. A doubled dies?

It has a small premium, but it's probably not very much, since these are common and easy to find in high grades.

to CCF. Check eBay sold values for an idea on value. It won't be much though.

I don't know about any possible errors on the reverse's. I've never taken them out of the packet. I was wondering about the small date vs large date. I see it is the copper penny mainly, but also have seen some zinc at exorbitant prices. Thanks for the replies.

The only real one worth a lot is the 1982-D small date copper.

Hello WayneA and to CCF.

I have been seeing a bunch of prattle on the internet regarding 1982 pennies and their variations.

I recommend checking out these websites for varieties for that year (or any other year for that matter). The sites will show pictures and what to look for.
NOTE: If one website does not show a certain variety, look at one of the other websites; not one site below is comprehensive.

I doubt the local coin shop would be interested, unless they have a bid board.
