Looking for information on the best place to send two 3 cent pieces I have for "variety" attribution. One is an 1881 RPD - very apparent in MS condition and the other is an 1866 in EF/AU condition that is a very strong clashed die with the date appearing on the "reverse side" of the coin. I also have other 3 cent pieces with repunched dates (1865 very strong) and another 1866 clashed die without the date. Also have another that is DDO. Any information that someone could provide on where to get these attributed would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, Dcreek1968

I don't know about where you can get them attributed, but I am sure I am not alone in my interest in seeing some pictures posted here.
You could also get some opinions from the very knowledgeable folks here.

I've had very good luck with NGC. Check their census details for each possible error type recognized by them for each date. It will save disappointment. ANACS is also great for a recognized number of varieties and errors.

Also for those interested in 3 cent nickels (and silvers) you should know about Gary Rosner https://www.3centnickel.com/ A stand up dealer, I've done business with for many years.

I have what I believe is the definitive reference with respect to nickel 3-cent coins.
The Authoritative Reference on Three Cent Nickels by Kevin Flynn and Edward Fletcher.
Mine is a 1999 First Edition.
I don't know if there's been an update.
Describe it as if there were no picture.

OK, I think I have a couple of pictures for this post. In the first, you can also see doubling around the hair (a little bit) but then more apparent on the second "A" of America. Also shows up somewhat on the "c" and you can easily see that both "8's" are repunched.

Both NGC and PCGS list the varieties they attribute in their facts pages. ANACS will attribute toost major references.

The doubling on the hair and AMERICA is Longacre doubling, the date though is repunched.
