I found this in a mixed roll, from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. This is now my oldest column bar DDR that I found. I will send it to Tanner Scott for attribution at some point.

Nice find Errers and Varietys.

The bars that are angled in the center bay are more interesting.

Going to need more research I think. Looks like an arc,not a bar.

Errers and Varietys:

What is this? I can not tell if it is another bar or just gunk.

DrDon, I looked at it with my 10x loupe and it was a very tiny black spot, where you pointed it out. Overall though, it's in great shape. It's in MS BU condition.

Hoping it turns out to be a DDR but John brings up a good point about the way it is arched.
The anomaly looks pretty well defined for all the die abrasions on the rest of the reverse. This makes me wonder if it occurred after the die abrasions from polishing.

Well it makes sense also. Why? It is a DDR and the die scratches are not seep enough to remove the doubled die. The doubled die is deeper into the die. The angle is not an issue either. If the hub started of turned a bit, then snapped into it correct alignment, it would look just like that. Here is another one:

It was the hub out of the correct alignment that snapped back into place during the die creation. It alters all the rese of the design, except for the central area of the design.

This is why I asked about the lower object. If it had been another bar I would have agreed with the arch. With it being gunk I must agree with the DDR.
Another nice find for E&V.

Thank you Tunnioc! It's the first time I've found a column bar DDR this old. It's now officially my oldest one in my collection.
