Possibly squeezed in a vice doesn't seem thinner though or flung at high velocity?
Any thoughts?

To CCF! Yes, that's PSD. You're correct.

Thanks! New to the terminology PSD is one I will need to remember. That extra character added to the coin just reeled me in.

Note the rim is pushed in and distorted. The reeds are pushed in on the edge of the coin. Correct in calling it PSD. (Post-Strike-Damage)

@cc800, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes for sure that dime has been damaged, but I don't think from a vice as that most often damages opposite sides of the coin. However, I don't have an alternate explanation. Either way, this dime is a spender.
