I have these 4 LMC. Could these be good examples of possible stages of life for the coins?
The texture in one seems it might have been stamped with something on the dies or just the zinc aspect of it. also the 3 is feint in one as well and the coin does not have a lot of wear to it.





I am trying to learn more everyday. appreciate all the comments that get posted.

me too!

I think though that we are going to need really good close-ups to be able to differentiate different levels of die wear though. Consider trying first to bookend it by finding the most worn out die and then the one with the most remaining detail (the youngest one).

These are basically just everyday circulated coins with varying degrees of environmental toning and oxidation.

Bottom reverse cent show light fingerprints that alter the coins surface. They are permanent.
