Machine Doubling is caused after the strike that is like a kick in the shins. It damages the strike because the machine has some play. This often happens on normal dies, but can also happen on doubled dies. The movement can alter coins differently from strike to strike. The machine damages the fresh coin instantly after the strike. On a doubled die, the device are actually enlarged. Machine Doubling reduces the devices.
