Hello!

Does this look like a coin of any quality? The pics aren't great, but it is for sure brown. It seems crisp and detailed compared to a lot of pre-20's coins we've seen. My grading skills are close to non-existent, so any guesses/guidance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Well the 1909 cents would be made from a fresh new master hub/fresh die state master die/fresh working hubs/ with fresh working dies. So they should look like quality coins that year. The stronger the design of the master hub, the stronger all the way down the line, the dies will show. But it is not a DDO. But it is a VDB cent.

Sorry, this is not an error coin...I probably posted in the wrong place. Still learning :)

Thanks for the info! Makes sense about the fresh hardware, for sure. I've seen plenty of 1909s on eBay that go for $3-$15 that look awful compared to this one. Not selling it, nor do I much care about monetary value, just trying to ascertain if it is something we should keep at the top of our collection and brag about :)

Thanks!!

It would be a great album filler. (These are easy to get this year in BU as when a new design comes out, people save a lot of these those years)
