Nice coin but the rims look damaged. May have been in a bezel at one time.

I guess PCGS thinks otherwise, though. 62/63?

The coin does have a nice ding in the rim but what looks like a bezel is the way D mint indians are made. THey have that extra rim around the periphery. Most 1914d and 1925d have that. The photo highlights it.

I think the weaker strike will keep it at MS63. anything with a "D" on it is awesome. always like seeing them

My understanding that the ring was the result of worn dies and the dies could not be polished because of the inverse dies. I am not sure how or why worn dies created the ring that is seen on the $2.50.

The coin has a nice luster and a beautiful gold toning. I think rim issue on the reverse side will drop it to MS63. Great coin

They gave it MS64 but no cac. Perhaps as a 63 it would cac.
