Is the coin I've displayed an actual die clash?

Very nice die clash! These are affectionately referred to as the "Prisoner Cent".

Because the columns look like prison bars. Even the Shield cents look a bit like that as well

Nice pick-up @pn! Well worth saving in a 2x2.

Sorry, but I'm not sure which site is best for attributing these things though--someone else will have to weigh in to answer your follow-up question.

Spence, much obliged for your acknowledging a good, and hard find. It's a beautiful coin, and for my first actual find, it needed to be as obvious.

Great find! Very nice, unabraided Die Clash! Most of the time, the Die Clashes are abraided away, so you can't really notice. http://www.error-ref.com/die_clash/

Errors and variety, I can say without doubt, that I would not have caught this coin had it not been for the growth, and learned patience holstered from "coin community."

I think this is the site http://www.maddieclashes.com/
If it is not there, they might want to add it to their site.

Just logged on for the first time of the day;John1, thanks for the link.
GMS5, you pray with all your strength, at first notice, that this error is not man made error (vise jobs). Thanks for the pat on the back, and good luck with your hunting.
