Hi again,

So I put this 1990 no mint mark aside because of its shininess. I think I have come to terms that this is not a proof, but verification would put my mind at ease....

However, the reason for posting this is that when I looked at it under the microscope, the reverse shows some what is likely Die Deterioration, but not like I've seen in other coins.

The "doubling" starts in "United" and goes all the way to "America" but the but in the letters "ERI" the doubling seems more detached.

Further the "FG" mark also shows some doubling.

As always, your comments are much appreciated.

I'm thinking a strong case of Die Deterioration. Others will chime in. Could be 2x2 worthy (for use as a clear example).

Looks more like Split Plating Doubling rather than DDD.

I wouldn't keep it but it's up to you. "2x2 worthy" is basically saying it's worth being put in a 2x2 cardboard flip that is used to store coins.

Spender. Not a worthy coin. It hard to spend 5 cents to save a one cent value coin. I know. When I was a new collector, I wasted a lot of 2X2's spending too much, for a face value coin.
