This one will be going to PCGS with the next shipment.

Do you think this one has a shot at an MS65? If not, what do you think holds it back?

Been trying to estimate grades before I send them in these days.

If those aren't marks on the cheeks in my opinion it has a good chance. The only thing that may hold it back is the luster, it doesn't have as much as a 65. Could also be your pictures.

I'd say it could go 65, though I agree with hfjacinto, the luster isn't exactly impressive

Looks pretty clean . No reason why it won't make 65 , but I agree with Carl on slabbing .

If that longish mark in front of the portrait is on the coin, that could held it to 64, but it's worth a shot.

Hard to tell from the pics, and as stated its hard to see the surface or luster, but I think it definitely has a good chance from what I see.

why not 65! As jon stated, surface and luster very tough to see through the pic, but based on marks or lackthereof I say why not.

I'm with the 65 group.
All the diamonds present and about half the feathers struck all the way out.
Describe it as if there were no picture.

MS-65 seems possible.
I prefer slabs for high-grade Classic coins like this one. Advantages include preservation, authentication, traceability, and ease of sale. Sure, you can't handle a slabbed coin directly but you also won't get fingerprints on it.
My opinion.
