Nice coin but needs to be TPG'd. Toning could be natural or AT.

Fantastic coin. Looks like natural toning, great strike, and minimal marks. I'd say MS-66.

Looks like it is westernsky, by PCGS.

NT, MS66 sounds right to me too (although always tough through toning). If it were a 65 I would think CAC would have beaned it.

It appears to be an LM-6 die marriage.
Describe it as if there were no picture.

Not a fan of the toning. If you like it that is all that really matters!
Grade wise MS65+/66. The toning does make it a bit tougher.
Great coin to be in any collection for sure

It looks like natural album toning to me. I see just a few minor tics in the fields so MS65 for me.

Welcome to the CCF and nice entrance!

I have yet to see an internet image that looks exactly like the toned coin in hand in color and intensity.
I think that photography can be misleading.
That is a neat picture and certainly a super nice coin.
Uncirculated small coins seem to suffer less contact hits than large one such as halves and dollars.
I think it got MS66 too.
My favorite album!

there are some minor scratches that can be seen under that toning. its difficult to say if there more than acceptable for a 66. in any case its a beautiful coin. i'd like to think it would come back as MS66 but no less than 65

WOW! PCGS graded it at MS 63 and CAC did not bean! I think PCGS tru-view's are taken in a most favorable light.
I am certain it is not artificial toning, and thought it was really undergraded. Would PCGS be able to identify it as being previously submitted if I did the crack out thing? Thoughts?

Oh my! But if you like the coin, (which I certainly do) what's in a slab graders opinion anyway?

Trying to grade from an image is at most an educated guess. Add dark toning to it, and it's almost impossible. I wonder what's lurking beneath that toning, that PCGS gave it a 63 for, and JA didn't bean it.
I'd be real hesitant cracking her out.

i hate grading from trueview. even looking close at the surfaces I'm not seeing what PCGS did. there are a couple minor scratches in front of the chin but it is what it is. maybe they knocked her for eye appeal. who knows. do you have any photos before it was submitted?
