mrwhatisit New Member United States 31 Posts	Posted 01/12/2021 6:50 pm In my observation of the photos, it appears to be Machine Doubling, since in a couple of your photos of the date they show step-doubling. To bad this wasn't the fabled 1969-s DDO, since even in damaged but nice condition, IF this were the famous DDO, it would be worth thousands. I too have several Lincoln's with Machine Doubling. coop Bedrock of the Community United States 47767 Posts	Posted 01/13/2021 12:00 pm 1968-1972 cents have a lot of Machine Doubling on the cents. Always flat, affecting just the outsides of the devices, reducing the devices, not enlarging the devices. They are so common on the 1969-S cents that even several doubled dies are even affected: Note on these 4 images they are all the same doubled die/ Note the enlarging of the devices? Then note the yellow arrows. Those are the areas affected with Machine Doubling. [b]Note they only show MD in one direction, were as the DDO is in all directions.
