I have uploaded the pics of the obverses of the two Dirhams I have. I cannot read Arabic and thus would greatly appreciate any help translating the date/mint on these two coins.
I knew taking Arabic would come in handy some day! Your first coin was minted in Baghdad (Madinat es-Salam) in what I'm pretty sure is AH 218. There's a chance it could be 228. The second one appears to be Baghdad as well, AH 191.
Both Madinat al-Salam, 1st 188h, 2nd 191h. The reason it is important to always show both sides is that there can be clues on the reverse to the reading of the obverse. In this case, the isolated letter "h" in the lower reverse field is typical of Harun al-Rashid. Both Album 219.2.
