I'm seeing significant Die Deterioration here.

I agree, looks like VLDS, though I dont think I've ever seen it this extensive on this year/design before.

Just a thought - somebody put a torch to it? Really not seeing metal flow lines from a worn die.

The rim also looks "rolled over" like a Dryer Coin.

Well the date devices are enlarged. So I feel it is mostly a Struck Through Grease issue.
