1985 D Lincoln Cent Doubled Die Obverse / DDO , Zinc Rot?

RedMP1972 Valued Member United States 87 Posts	Posted 04/27/2021 12:27 am Help please. I have looked at this coin from multiple magnifications, and angles. There appears to be doubling on "Liberty", and the Date. Not sure if it is true DDO, Machine Doubling, Die Deterioration, or zinc rot. Report this Post to the Staff

I'm interested to hear what others think about this--simply a trick of the lighting or evidence of slight doubling? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 04/27/2021 11:13 am Looks like coin contact has altered some of the devices on the coin. The '5' the mintmark look altered. Glare is not your friend. Try to diffuse the light. Even a curtain of a plastic grocery bag can help remove glare. Us this for a frame and put some plastic from a grocery back to diffuse the lights glare. My home studio for full images for coins. For micro Photos I use a scope: Report this Post to the Staff
