I only noticed it because he dropped it and I instantly thought it was a old steel penny until he told me the year Was this 1995 stuck on a dime planchet o ? coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 05/15/2021 09:44 am On YouTube there were videos of adding zinc to the coin. Try a magnet and it will not be attracted. A couple years ago I had a pristine, common copper cent sitting in acetone for two+ months--an experiment. When removed it was still pristine--even under 40X magnification.
