Nice OC clash! My guess is 65+RD, some small spots and splotching holding it from a 66

Pretty spectacular misaligned die clash! I'd say MS-64.

I'm at MS65, likely RD RB, a few spots hold it back from MS66. I wouldn't be surprised though if PCGS saw this anywhere from MS64-66.

So the coin is graded PCGS MS65RB. It is every bit of full Red. The pics posted are from the TrueView image and the obverse plays tricks on the eyes, it is semi prooflike. I have seen pics from previous auctions for the other "RD" graded coins, this one blows them away. This is hands down one of the top examples of this variety. I have PCGS MS66RD/CAC Indian Head cents in my collection. This one is every bit as nice and in most cases, "redder" than the others.

I'm not surprised. Initially, I had it at RD, but that spotting holds it to RB IMO, also starting to develop some light toning around the devices, obverse and reverse.

Even though PCGS is no longer guaranteeing color of copper, I can see them being on the conservative side. And who knows what the future will bring for the color of this one.

Regardless, great looking example.

Edit: if your one to play the crack out game, I think this would be one that would go either way.. Monday or a Friday

Wow, I'm jealous! That thing oozes luster and the clash/DDO just makes it so much nicer. A true gem of a coin, congrats on yet another amazing Indian variety in incredible shape. I agree it looks more red than anything else.

This one deserves a red. It is at least 95% red, which is PCGS's standard. Whether they are conservative or not, they are inconsistent. Hopefully you got it at RB price!
