I got this one at a local coin shop .
It has a nice reverse strike through. I liked the color of the coin which I could not capture well .

No Grade due to reverse damage.

Looks like a major gouge to me. Also harshly cleaned.

you can see the strike details in the strike through, they rays , the U and the M. Has some cabinet rub but does not look cleaned in hand , may be the lighting but still has decent luster in areas

Definitely looks like a strike through. But the photos suggest significant wear and a past cleaning, so I'd say VF details.

I will try and get pics in different lighting. I do not think this one has been cleaned , It was cheap regardless and I mostly got it for the strike through and the nice subtle toning

I note that there is evidence of a ray at the bottom of the dent. So it is not a gouge, but perhaps an impact dent.
Would the ray still be there with a strike-thru?

Very weak 'E.PL'.....

I am fascinated by this one because I really can't tell the difference between a dent and a strike through.

Looks too bright in these pics for the amount of wear, so I'll tentatively say F details (cleaned).

I agree with strike through. A fair amount of wear overall. Light scratch running through '..MERICA. I'm thinking F15+.

this coin really intrigues me as its very nice looking in hand and appears to be poorly struck . I know its not worth the grading cost but I may send it to Anacs with my next batch just to see what they say the grade is on this one as I know poor strike on a Peace dollar can really affect how the grade appears.
