Bought this one from a local dealer who mostly handles generic coins. Not a choice piece but the price was OK. Maybe I'll add it to my roll of raw half eagles. I can enjoy that little thrill each time I turn it over and see the D mintmark!

I'd say VF-25 with some nice honest wear. Can't go wrong with Dahlonega gold!

VF-25 sounds about right. Don't know if that reverse cut would detail it.

VF25 I don't think that will detail it but the obverse damage under the bun might detail it.

with a gold coin with this much circulation you are bound to see some good marks like the rims hits on this one, I can see it VF25 though and the "D" just makes a little more special.
