Incomplete details on eagle talons indicates this is likely a business strike. Details otherwise are very sharp. Slight wear on Liberty's brow and eagle's tail plus friction in the obverse field suggest very brief circulation. AU-58, with good eye appeal.

Your titles for this and the 1898 say "half" but they're both quarters. Just saying.

Interesting, I would have guessed business strike as well given the weakness in the eagle talon and arrow feathers. But it seems many 1908 proof Barber quarters have the same loss of detail in that area, even in the PCGS CoinFacts plate coin.
