Spence Moderator United States 23211 Posts	Posted 01/20/2022 06:19 am Mint spec was 3.11 g, but including the mint tolerance and the amount of lost metal due to heavy circulation wear, I think that the weight is ok. If it was made from solid gold, it would be much heavier. More likely the odd color is just toning or someone doing some aftermarket plating.
