This is the first silver dime I have ever found coin hunting bank rolls. Hopefully there is a dime expert on the site as it has an unusual look on the mouth region. I am not sure if it's PMD or an odd shaped Die Chip (found a small die chip on the mouth of a 2020 dime before). Let me know your opinions. Regards

Damage.
That is a contact mark from the reeds of another coin.
A die chip would be raised.

Looks to me like a circulation hit--possibly from the reeded edge of a coin. Nice find regardless.

Looks like a reed hit from a coin with a reeded edge.

Acquiring silver at face value is awesome, even if this that is a ding rather than a die chip.

On the eye, that is the normal design there:

More of a melt coin at this point with the circulation and the reed damage on that area.

Melt it? Heck no, I put it in a flip! First silver coin I ever found, and I have been searching for three years now.

It doesn't look like a reed hit , I think it could be a planchet flaw .

Maybe slammed by a silver dollar, who knows? Where did the eye come into question on this coin?
